Not the afternoon anyone was hoping for at Elland Road. Crystal Palace came, sat in, and made sure there wasn't much space to work with — and for long spells Leeds just couldn't find a way through a well-drilled visiting side.
Still, a point's a point, the run without defeat carries on, and there were a few individual performances worth picking out from an otherwise scrappy 0-0. Here's how EVERYTHINGLUFC saw it.
STARTING XI
James Trafford — 7.5
Came up with a couple of really good stops when they were needed and made sure the clean sheet stayed intact.
Jayden Bogle — 6.5
Found plenty of joy getting forward into decent areas but never quite had the end product to show for it.
James Justin — 7
Solid defensively, and there was a spell after shifting to right wing-back where an assist felt inevitable — just didn't arrive.
Nico Elvedi — 6.5
Had a tough shift against a lively centre-forward but still found time for a couple of tidy passes and one crucial block.
Tarik Muharemović — 7.5 ⭐ Star man
Not always the quickest out from the back with it, but his reading of the game without the ball was excellent — a string of well-timed tackles and blocks kept Palace at arm's length all afternoon.
Gabriel Gudmundsson — 7
Kept getting up the left and earned a fair few free-kicks doing it.
Ethan Ampadu — 6.5
Timed a brilliant tackle to snuff out Kamada one-on-one, though he looked a step off his usual sharpness when the second balls came around.
Ao Tanaka — 6.5
A mixed bag — some smart interceptions and a decent overall showing, but a few gaps crept in at times too.
Anton Stach — 6
Neither here nor there. Kept working and kept trying to get things going, though not everything came off.
Noah Okafor — 7.5
Kept taking players on and looking for something, and was easily the main outlet going forward even if that final pass wouldn't quite land.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin — 6.5
A quiet one by his standards — the big chance came and went, straight at the keeper.
OFF THE BENCH
Dan James — 4
Never really got going and couldn't make the ball he did get count.
Brenden Aaronson — 4
Gave the ball away too often and got knocked off it far too easily. A rough one.
Lukas Nmecha — 5.5
A couple of half-chances to make something happen, nothing that really stuck.
Jean-Mateo Bahoya — N/A
On too briefly at the death to be judged either way.
Not the most thrilling watch, but a clean sheet and an unbeaten run that keeps rolling on. We'll take it. Have a read, have a brew, and let us know who you'd have rated differently.
